I’d say 5 would be a good age for a switch… mine had iPads first which are more versatile and an introduction into games. Bikes, scooters, garden playhouse, electric car/ dodgem thing could be an option
Yes, i think my june 2022 would struggle to use it. My November 2019 baby is just about on the cusp of really being good at using controls, so i am tempted this year, or maybe next year when he turns 7, to consider getting him something like this, but there is no way my 2yo would handle it.
If it helps, my June 2022 baby absolutely loves his balance bike. We have a few garden toys we got him for his birthday too.
My almost 3 y/o daughter has an Amazon Fire Tablet, she uses it for watching her programmes and playing a few games - I wouldn’t be buying her a switch at this age tho x
I think there’s plenty of time for all of that. Once they start there’s no stopping them!!
A family friend is going to be getting our little one a camera for her birthday. And at the moment that’s as far as I’m willing to go🫣
