C-section at stepping hill hospital

I have a scheduled c-section at Stepping Hill next week, Did anyone recently have their c-section at Stepping Hill?
How long did you have to stay in the hospital afterwards?

I did… they were great! I’d have been out the following day but my daughter was in neonatal for a week and they kindly let me stay! Good luck… x

I did too! Had my baby at about 9:30am and was discharged 6pm the next day, but they did want to keep me in another day as our baby wasn’t latching very well and wanted to make sure feeding was established (but we agreed a feeding plan instead). I think they try to get you out within 24 hours unless there’s a reason to keep you in longer. Had a great experience with my elective c section there though ☺️

I had a c-section at stepping hill, we were discharged after 24 hours. We did have to chase them up about it though as they were so busy so I don’t think they would of got around to discharging us if we didn’t repeatedly ask them too x

Yes I did on 27th March, surgery started at 9am and I was discharged at 6pm on 28th. I had to ask around 10 times though and it was purely because they were busy that they hadn't and i ended up advising them that If that if it got past 5pm I was going to self discharge (took me saying this for them to start the paperwork ) 🫠

I had a similar experience to the ladies above. Was discharged the next day but I had to chase the staff to get the discharge notes. It wasn't necessarily bad because staff were around if you needed help but if you were feeling fine and ready to go then it was a bit frustrating! Good luck! I hope everything goes well for you. X

No, you'll need to bring your own.

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃
