we moved beginning of march and didn’t know we were even getting the house until day after application close date 🥲 I don’t drive and the previous schools are over an hour on the bus so if this school doesn’t let him transfer we’re screwed 😅🤞🏻

our council have let us do a change of choices form so our original form gets processed on weds then the second form gets processed in May - can you do similar?

Avatar

I phoned them up when we moved asking if I could do this and they just told me to reply to the acceptance with our new information and our old council district will liaise with our new one to transfer him. I have no idea how smoothly it’ll go but it’s all we can do

Avatar

ah that’s good of them - they wouldn’t let us do that 💔

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂

Bedtime holding

For those who hold their baby to get them to sleep, how long are you holding them before putting them down? I’m currently struggling with this because if I put my LO down before the next sleep cycle starts, he will most often need resettling 30-40 mins later to connect to the next sleep cycle so I’m finding it easier to hold him for the entire first sleep cycle until he connects to his second cycle as sometimes resettling is a pain. This means I’m holding him for around 50 mins before putting him down. This isn’t sustainable as it’s eating into so much of my evening. Any tips? Should I get put him down as soon as he sleeps and bear the resetting bit and is it normal for babies to wake up 30-40 mins later after putting them down for night time sleep?

Just for context my baby is about the turn 5 months so I know it’s developmentally appropriate for them to wake up 30-40 mins after nap / daytime sleep but is this also meant to happen for night time sleep? Could it also be a problem linked to false start?
