Should I be worried about sleep

My little one is just over 5 weeks and sleeps constantly! Like I don’t remember my son sleeping this much. We do have some wake windows but a lot of the time she nods off after burping and I’m waking baby for feeds every 3 hours.
Baby is gaining weight and otherwise seems healthy but unsure if I should contact our HV

My LO is also 5 weeks and does the same! His awake windows are very short but apparently this is very normal. If he feeds well, has a wet and dirty nappy then it shouldn’t be a problem I guess?

My 5 week old is the same. She’s awake first thing in the morning for over an hour and she’s always awake from 6pm but throughout the day she only wakes for feeds then going back to sleep again x

hmm, if she's gaining weight and seems healthy, I wouldn't stress too much, but it never hurts to check in with your HV just to ease your mind! I actually checked the 'Heal App' for this and here's what it says:

"It’s great to hear that your little one is gaining weight and appears healthy! At just over 5 weeks, it's common for babies to sleep a lot, as they need that rest for growth and development. However, if she’s consistently hard to wake for feeds or seems unusually lethargic, it might be worth discussing with your health visitor (HV).

In the meantime, continue to wake her for feeds every 3 hours, as you're doing, and try to engage her during wake times with gentle interaction. If you have any concerns about her alertness or feeding patterns, reaching out to your HV for reassurance is a good step. Have you noticed any changes in her feeding habits or alertness during her wake windows?

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
