I been resting as much as I can but with a newborn I tend to get up all through out the night to check on her in between feedings and changing
Set alarms to make sure you are taking your meds on time Stay mobile, laying in bed doesn’t help the healing. Being mobile little and often helps ease the pain Get out of bed by rolling on your side and pushing up with your arms, not your core for a few weeks Don’t compare yourself to others ❤️ every section is different, every body is different, every pain threshold is different, even every surgeon is different. Emergencies are rougher than electives too Your core will tighten up and strengthen after a few weeks, by the end of week 2/3 you’ll feel almost normal again
Thank you 🙏🏽
I was in horrible pain for probably 3-4 weeks. The belly band was the only thing that helped. I also slept in a recliner for awhile instead of in bed. Good luck mama you will feel better soon
Thank you I feel better then I did a few days ago but still got some pain
I didn’t have a band but took pain meds for about 3 weeks, I stayed in bed for about 10 days, just got up for the loo, by 5 weeks I could walk short distances and by 6 weeks I could get the bus if someone helped with the pram. I didn’t feel confident driving until we got to 6 weeks. Everyone is different though. I healed really well but I had quite a traumatic section with a lot of bruising as the baby was wedged diagonally and they couldn’t get him out, so it took a while for the bruising to go down but once that was ok the rest healed well. It was my ribs that were the worst pain from the pressure they using.
It can be painful for quite a while. It’s different for everyone. I was in pain for a couple of weeks but discomfort for longer I know it’s probably hard with 8 kids but rest is the best thing x
