Xonvea question

I was wondering, rather than taking two at bedtime, could I take one every 12 hours? Like one at night, one in the morning? So it’s a more steady coverage.
The reason I’m pondering, I took two at bedtime time for the first 3 days, when I woke up on the fourth morning it felt like I had someone stood on my chest (one of the side effects is a chest heaviness and being very aware of heartbeat/pulse) and it freaked me out.
I spoke to my GP and she said just try one tablet at night, which I did last night and I’ve been puking today.

Anyone spread the dose out?

I've been told 2 and night, 1 in the morning. The timing of my tablets I've also realised is really important. I take my evening 2 at 8pm and my morning one at 9.30am and it seems to do enough to help me manage. On the BNF website it does say you can also take a 4th tablet in the afternoon if needed. X

In my experience, 1 at night wasn’t enough. Were your side effects caused by the tablets? They usually say take 2 at night (and I believe this is because it takes 9 hours or so to start hitting your system) and then another in the morning and another during the day. The other thing I found was one day didn’t make a difference and I needed to take the tablets consistently to see a difference- I really think it can be trial and error to see what’s best for you x

My Dr told me to increase dosage if feeling it wasn't working. 2 at night, 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.

hey, yeah it can’t have been anything else, plus I didn’t have that feeling this morning on only one tablet. I can’t decide which is the lesser of evils

Did you all up your doses independently or did you consult with GPs? When I called the maternity triage they just told me to call me GP, they weren’t very helpful 😵‍💫

I always did one at night and one in the morning ❤️ they said if one at night didn’t do it to increase it to two at night and one in the morning but I only did that for a little bit before reducing back to one at night and one in morning

my GP told me to manage it myself, if I felt I needed extra to take extra during the day but always stick to the two at night.

I’m trying the same, did one last night and one just now.. guessing I won’t feel the benefit until tomorrow? X

it took about 2/3 days for me to realise it was working but it’s different for everyone 🥰

Nothing worked for me, so I stopped taking them
