Activity ideas?

Any suggestions for activities to do with my nearly 7 month old, he gets bored very easy and I’m running out of ideas on what to do with him, especially on rainy days ☔️🫶🏼

honestly i just let mine be bored🤣 i did the same with her brother and his imaginative play is bursting and i really think it’s because i don’t give them things to do all the time. plus they don’t know the difference between play and chores so my 8mth old loves just tagging along with whatever im doing and i narrate what i’m doing just to get in some extra vocab with her. sorry if this wasn’t super helpful

@Bri okay I don’t feel as bad now 😂 I rotate his toys every couple of days so it’s a little change. I can’t read him books as he just wants to eat everything! He’s just learnt to crawl so he ends up in the most random places playing with everything but his toys 😂

Mine is 6.5 months and some days it is hard to keep him entertained all day! I often put him in the bouncer whilst I’m prepping stuff in the kitchen and he loves to watch me. I do the same in with the bouncer in the garden (on a nice day) and he’ll watch me hang the washing out🤣 I also use my pregnancy pillow it goes into a loop, I lay him in the middle of it on our bed and give him a rattle and just the change of scenery is nice for him as he’s usually in his play gym downstairs.

@Heidi our walker definitely comes in handy when I’m prepping in the kitchen, although he does try run me over constantly 😂 I’m already missing the sun as I hate being trapped in doors! Thank you for your reply 🫶🏼

As someone else said... Let them be bored 😂 I mean getting out and about and seeing new things is always fun but no need to go mad. I have friends who felt this with their little ones, so went out to new places all the time and went mad with activities etc and now 6 and 7 years old and they don't know how to entertain themselves and expect to go out every single weekend and every day of the school holidays. I'm so glad my oldest doesn't expect that all the time and has a great imagination. My almost 7m old gets bored but I just wander round to different rooms with him, carry him around and put him down in different places while I'm doing housework (badly might I add), bring him shopping, baby groups, time on the mat on the floor, jumperoo, out for walks (school run) He fits into my day 😂
