Milk supply reducing?

Hi everyone, looking for some guidance! FTM to a nearly 6 week old, EBF baby boy and up to a week ago had been blessed with a pretty good milk supply (possibly an over supply), however now it seems that my breasts are not refilling much between feeds so that he is really unsatisfied and fusses on the boob as he is still hungry. I know there is a growth spurt at this age but this just doesn’t feel like cluster feeding and I’m so worried my milk supply is failing. I am going to start pumping after feeds from today (waiting a part missing from my breast pump to be delivered), but any other thoughts or suggestions are most welcome!! Thank you!! 🙏🏻

My baby girl is 6 weeks too and I am experiencing the same!!! Up until now I had serious oversupply and now my breasts feel empty and my LO is spending a lot of time on the boobs and doesn’t seem satisfied afterwards :(

I could’ve written this post myself! Sending over a hug.
My daughter also has really bad gas etc however and we’ve just discovered she has a tongue tie! This is why my milk is reducing as she doesn’t effectively empty the breast so my body is making as much as she needs.
We’ve had her tie cut on Monday and I can’t believe how much she can now move her tongue and she’s already feeding loads better.

I know at 6 weeks ish your body changes from making all the milk it can because of the hormones to fully supply and demand on what your baby is taking so pumping will help to increase it.
I would personally find a breastfeeding support group near you and go to one as they’re fab for support and that’s actually where we found the tongue tie.
There should be a list of where they are in the front of your red book or you can just google for your area :)

Make sure you’re eating well & also the correct foods, apparently there’s certain foods that help with milk supply so I’d suggest looking into that, oats & porridge is really good x

Thanks so much all! We have just seen a reflux specialist and they think he has a tongue tie so in the process of getting that arranged as we speak!Hopefully that solves the supply issue and his reflux 😂 a lot of pressure on this tongue tie!!! 🤞🏼 hope everyone is doing well! 🙏🏻

Your breasts should feel less full at this point and you’re right that time wise this is a very fussy period for them. I think it’s probably not your supply, are you still getting lots of wet and dirty nappies regularly etc?

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂
