I think they recommend 2 nights for safety reasons like bleeding etc ..

It varies from hospital to hospital in the UK, here it’s minimum 24 hours you have to stay in to monitor post surgery bleeding if there’s no issues in theatre etc! I’d call up triage at your chosen birthing place and see if they can give you a bit more info regarding discharge xx
My first and only c section I left 25 hours after surgery
UK here - I self-discharged after all of baby and my checks were done and we were in the all clear, I think it was 14 or so hours, although as @Leona said, there's a recommended 24 hours minimum. I had to sign a waiver to discharge early.

I had to stay for 48 hours. But it turned into more like 60 hours because the 48hr mark was in the middle of the night😭
I’m having my fifth c section this coming June and they typically let me go home the next day. Everyone is different. Just ask your dr what they recommend.
I’m in the US and I had to fight hard to be able to leave after 24 hours for my second. My first I was there for 3 days

I had my first baby 3 weeks ago and I was in for 2 nights
They tried to discharge me 12hrs after my C-section in November but my baby wasn’t latching to feed so I got to stay another night
I had my baby at 4:58pm I was home by 5pm the next day x
I stayed 1 night and was discharged by 3:00 the next day. They asked / told me I could stay another night but I wanted to go home. They just had a checklist of stuff that I needed to do in order to leave like walk/ pee

I went in on Friday and came home on sunday

They did say I could leave the following day, baby was born at 13.55pm but I opted to stay the second night which they were more than ok with, then came home Christmas Eve but even then they were fine I wanted the third night
I had c section at 10:45 am on the Saturday (no complications) and was released about 2pm on the Sunday x
I left the next day. Had him about 4-5pm went home about 8pm next day. So a day (uk) x
Little one born 10:58am and we went home next day evening so we stayed probably around 30h after delivery (planned section with no complications)
If they medically have no reason to keep you there or baby, legally, you can check yourself out! In Georgia!
