i had my partner stay with me on the ward for 2 days x
I had my little one last March and partners could stay over then x
I have asked my midwife as well, and Lucy is right. While they could stay overnight before, I think from the beginning of this month, they are not allowed anymore.Just 8am to 11 pm
Thanks all and congrats 🩷 I’m gutted the policy has changed but at least they can stay most of the day.
oh that’s a shame i had my baby in Feb :( and we were allowed to:(
Same, but it is what it is :( She mentioned they had a 1 year trial with letting the husbands overnight and some of the mom's complained that they are not feeling comfortable with going to the toilet during the night and a men in his boxers wandering around, looks like there is only 1 bathroom in the room ( which i don't blame tbh). It's just a shame because of some irresponsible men they had to change it
How awful 😞
I had my baby last week and birth partners can’t stay overnight anymore except when baby is in nicu then partners are allowed to stay 24hrs x
When I had my baby last September they could, but tbh I’m not surprised they’ve changed it. There’s no washing facilities for them and my husband has about 3 showers a day! There was a guy next to me playing videos loud on his phone for hours on end and 2 guys snoring quite loudly 😖
I had my little girl in May 2023 and my husband stayed with us until we went home the following day, I don’t know how I would have managed without him there 🤯 I’m due in Sept and am praying that he gets to stay again 😩😩
Had my baby via c section in November and my partner stayed overnight.
I had my LO in November and my partner stayed for 2 days, I don’t know what I would have done after an emergency c section I couldn’t move he had to change the babies nappy etc can’t believe they have changed it!!
Had my son 2 weeks ago and they aren't allowed to stay over, only from 8am to 11pm (I think) they said though if you gave birth in the early hours of the morning they can come with you to the ward and stay for an hour but will then be asked to leave. I'll be honest I'm not surprised, gave birth to my daughter in October 2023 and men were allowed to stay over and it was hell. They were so loud and obnoxious, it made recovery ten times worse. When I spoke to the midwife she said that some men were walking around the ward in just their underpants, using patient toilets, walking in to the wrong bays when women were breastfeeding!!
Hi, I had my baby in the Women’s on Tuesday and birth partners can’t stay over anymore. They can stay from 8am to 11pm, while all other visitors are allowed from 3pm to 8pm
