my son REFUSES to stay on his tummy lol. even when we put a pillow under his chest... he rolls himself out, gets stuck, then gets mad. I have a feeling he's gonna walk and skip crawling altogether 💀
My boy is crawling and climbing all over stuff but he climbs more than typical crawling around (we’re trying to change this). So his hands and knees crawling needs more time. He does some sort of half frog/half normal crawl.
We spent a lot of time with toys elevated on a few inch higher surface so he spent a lot of time playing with them on his knees which helped him learn how awesome his knees are and helped with his crawling and general floor movement. His patience for normal flat surface to crawl on is thin. He likes climbing around more. So we’re trying to find a better balance
My lil one is doing the same thing. He don't sit up by himself yet but he's been trying to crawl.
Mine started crawling a couple days before hitting 6 months! The age they hope for them to start is about 8 months so don’t stress! Baby will get there 🤍

@Finn soon I’m gonna put a blanket or smth I can hold him up with to have him learnt he crawling position
@kaitlyn with my daughter we didn’t have space to put her on the floor to crawl so she never bear crawled like he’s doing, I just think it’s cute and wanted to see where everyone else’s babies are at

@Jazlynn we don’t have that crab! But I’ve been wanting it lol we just didn’t have the space before. But we just moved and have more space in our living room for it so we might get it! The #1 toy he loves to play with on an elevated surface is this thing:
We had to hold his knees in place at first to reinforce that position but then he slowly started doing it on his own when he realized he can reach all the buttons better when he’s on his knees

He will literally crawl over cushions and pillows and even learned to pull himself up to reach it on a higher surface 😂

Mine started this at 4.5 months! She’s still trying to figure out how to fully crawl but can now transition from tummy to sitting up
My baby is FULLY crawling and has been since the day she turned 6 months
My son is kind of starting to crawl now and he's fast but he mostly... leaps...? He did go through a little stage of "army crawling" on his belly but began to really take off shortly after that started
My baby does that too I’m pretty sure it’s called a bear crawl. And he is fast.
