For the first few days I wore the undies which helped as you just change the whole thing, and didn't have to worry about large enough pads in my opinion. Then I switched to pads when things got lighter or I was leaving the house 😆
I just used the pads. The own ones from boots suck fyi. I had the pants but I didn’t like the idea and job of changing the whole pants! And taking off my trousers etc. I know others who wore incontinence pants though.
I gave birth 10 days ago and used these: https://amzn.eu/d/4bBc30c
Boots maternity pads are really good as they soft! X
For the first few days, and straight after birth I used the disposable frida underwear. They were great as not tight around the tummy, but secure enough for a big pad in them. They are like little cotton shorts. Found they were super comfortable and then just a big maternity pad and what the hospital had there.
I LOVED the Frida mom stuff. Catch all pads and disposable underwear were amazing! I still kinda miss the comfort of them but I’m now using my regular pants and a Pantyliner after 5 weeks and I’m only spotting now. https://amzn.eu/d/3xEIV8G https://amzn.eu/d/3zLsBVM
I think I used last time boots own brand and found them very good. X
I used the Friday mom disposable underwear for the first week and lined them with a maternity pad. The wingless ones from boots or a supermarket were fine and similar to what the hospital had available.
The Sainsbury's maternity pads were my favourite of the various brands I tried. And I bought some big cheap black pants from Primark and dark coloured PJ's in case of leaks. I did buy the nappies but didn't actually need them in the end, the maternity pads were enough.
I had a c section on Thursday and I absolutely swear by the frida mom disposable underwear lined with the Frida mom cooling pads, nothing ever leaks through! I woke up covered in a lot of blood the first night because I only wore big underwear and a lil-let maxi pad but as soon as I swapped to the Frida mom stuff I was so so comfy! When the bleeding calmed down I wore the shorts lined with a lil-let again and that was absolutely fine. Wishing you a safe delivery💘
Maternity pads such as these https://amzn.eu/d/fDx3jWq So far I've used like 60 or so. I think you may bleed for longer if you breastfeed Also if you are planning a vaginal delivery, having a few cold compress pads was also a great help (for tears, episiotomy, piles or just general sore/swell)
