One year old crying

Hi! Mine is 14 months and yes, he does throw tantrums now. What I’ve learned from personal experience and some research is that it’s normal. The best thing to do is give no reaction bc at this stage that is what they’re looking for. I’ll sit with him until he’s done but I won’t overly console. He’ll normally stop when he realizes mommy’s not freaking out, too. Also, it’s best to remember that what they’re crying over that can’t rationalize so for example, the toy you just took away is quite literally the worst thing in the world. They can’t rationalize that maybe eating it was dangerous so mommy took it for safety or that they’ll eventually get it back. At that moment, the toy is gone and it’s gone forever. Shit my 5 yr old does its so frustrating But ur 1 y/o more so seems to cry over everything to you likely bc they can’t talk and say what they need yet! Or are feeling some kinda way and can’t express that!! They will be okay
