Are you a Medicare patient going public or a private patient going public?
Rpa isn’t round the hills district but I just want to say they made me feel like I wasn’t just another patient, I have two c sections one being an emergency and even then I felt so comfortable and had my trust with them completely
@Alana Medicare going public, what would be the difference though I've not really looked into it
You won’t be able to just elect to have a c-section in the public under Medicare, it would usually only be for medical reasons. You are also governed by suburb, as to which hospital you can birth at, as each suburb/council area is covered by a specific health district. If you are living in the hills district, it would most likely be Westmead or Blacktown hospital; depending on how it’s zoned. There’s also Norwest or Westmead Private. If you elect to go to the public as a private patient or to one of the private hospitals, there are costs associated with this, but you would have a choice of Dr and could opt for an elective c-section
