People that like walking, what do you like about it?

I hate walking but I want to enjoy it because I don’t do any other exercise.

I like getting out in the fresh air plus it’s a free way to exercise!

The thought of a walk is annoying but once I’m walking I love it. Learn genuine appreciation for the little parts of nature. Find new routes, the greener the better 💚 Just to add, I HAVE to do two walks for my dog with my toddler either in the back carrier if I have somewhere to be afterwards or with him now toddling along. It’s a chore with no end in sight but it’s genuinely been the biggest part of our connection just talking about everything and learning names of trees etc. it’s fun when you see it through their eyes.

Fresh air, being active, and something to do while I listen to books or podcasts

Listen to a podcast or some music you like - it makes it much nicer too :)

I use it as a break and it's nice exercise

I don't get to go on walks, but I like that walking is a very simple form of exercise (try to avoid walking up any hills tho). it's also nice to get some fresh air, and it's even better when it's the perfect weather outside. maybe try to think abt it a different way? u might like it a little bit better?

Tbh no idea. But I grew up using public transportation, so I got use to it.

I never use to leave the house so now I have my 9week old baby it gives me a reason to get out and give us some air☺️x

@Mohannahas Same. I have to schedule time to go for a walk now when it used to be just how I got anywhere.

I like the houses around where we live, so I like to walk routes that take me past the good ones 😂 I also track my walks on Strava so I like to compare previous walks and see if I’m getting faster 😁

Just nice to get out of the house and get some fresh air, especially nice if there's nature to walk in. I enjoy taking my little boy out in the pram for a quick walk around our local canal, especially now the weather is better x

Plug into a good audiobook or podcast that way you’ll look forward to the walk since you’ll get to listen!!

I live in a lovely part of the country next to the beach, open countryside with lots of broads. Near me a swan has given birth to 6 cignets. You take it for granted sometimes what’s around you. Plus I’m used to walking.

I like not having to think about anything for a bit. And people watching and looking at houses and animals is fun. Depends on the weather tho lol I live in south Florida so sometimes going for a walk is horrible and I’m sweating the second I step outside

@Jazlyn why avoid walking uphill?

@Cat because it's a lot harder walking uphill and takes a lot more energy. and for me, I'm always out of breath by the time I get to the top. and all of this is depending on how big and steep the hill is btw. and this all just my opinion based on my personal experience

@Jazlyn oh okay, yea that makes sense. i thought it was like a medical reason lol

Getting outside and out of the house. Often times I do it after a long work conversation or when I need a break because it helps my mind reset.

it’s just nice to be outside and move your body. listening to music might make it more enjoyable
