I use the pampers sensitive wipes. I typically use 1 wipe per pee diaper (usually about 8 a day) and then 2/3 wipes per poop. I typically buy a bulk box of wipes to always have them on hand especially since I have a messy toddler too

I personally feel this is dependent on how much they’re peeing or pooping throughout the day. I know with my little guy. He was a very frequent pooper, and so we went through quite a bit, and I found we went through more wipes as a newborn because we wanted to make sure it was all clean and once they start getting older, you wipe and you keep folding that wipe until you only use one during a poop!

I also found that personal preference when it came to wipes were huge. I personally hate pampers diapers, but I love their aqua wipes. I find the ones that say they have more water in it work better and are softer on Baby!

Again, though that’s just personal preference !

We use the Aldi mamia sensative ones, they do a box of 6 for like £4 and they also do a small travel pack size (4 in a pack) which is so handy for the nappy bag

I use Waterwipes, more expensive but they’ve never failed me - depends how much you wanna spend on wipes to be honest x

While I was pregnant I put water wipes 18 pack on a subscription for a few months before I gave birth - long story short I had about 90 packs of wipes - I’m now 7 months pp and I have 12 packs left, I have no idea where they’ve gone 🤣 x

We used water wipes but they gave our boy a rash; moved onto damp cotton pads and it did wonders. We now use Tesco wipes for disaster nappies then cotton pads the rest of the time x

Avatar

We don’t wipe for just pees(and before anyone comes at me she was getting horrible diaper rashes and I tried all the creams, the powders, etc and nothing helped until we stopped wiping for every diaper change) but will for pops and I usually use like maybe 2 wipes for a poo

We use too many to count just make sure you have loads of wipes bulk buy them so you never run out. You can never have too many.

Mama Bear from Amazon 18 packs for £12 is a really good deal or I get Pampers Harmonie Aqua when on offer 24 for £24.

How are you finding these Georgia? I'm using the Huggies 99% water ones but I've heard that the Aldi ones are pretty good!

Avatar

My faves are Pampers sensitive and Rascals. 1 wipe for a wet nappie and 3-4 for a poop!

I use Pura - https://a.co/d/g6a7hFD

Water wipes or huggies sensitive. They never "outgrow" wipes like diaper sizes so you really can't buy too many lol buy in bulk if you can for sure. I'd say 2-5 wipes per poo lol newborn poos can be absolutely wild

Avatar

I can only use pampers aqua. £4.25 for 4 at Asda

Avatar

Water wipes. It’s a newborn all other brands have some type of alcohol in it I used water wipes and still use them nd as the enter toddler years I use soap nd water wen they poop

Avatar

We use water wipes. More expensive but saves me so much time as I find the other wipes are tougher and the moisture on them is gone in like 2 seconds. X

Mamia is my favourite

Yeah I dunno I prefer and love cloth wipes myself, I only needed 50 and that’s still lasting me 5yrs later lol, just washing and reusing. Plus I only need 1 for a massive poop, I’m always the first one to finish and put my baby in the pram first in the baby change rooms, I look up and the mum next to me is still pulling and wiping 😂 They go through about 22,000 wetwipes in 2.5yrs

I don’t recommend pampers, I tried them on my skin and ended up getting chemical burns. Huggies, nutmeg, Aldi

Avatar

which of the Pampers range was this one?

Avatar

Also to add keep a pack of wipes in your car and in every room of the house you never know when a poonami may strike lol

Avatar

It depends on your need, well I use pampers

Avatar

I'm using cotton wool pads and water unless going out, so hopefully won't need millions x

Avatar

Just buy them in bulk or use cotton pads with water.

Cotton wool pads and warm water for the first few weeks..

The Costco Kirkland ones are amazing!! We also like the lidl ones as well when we can't get to a Costco

Avatar

Waterwipes. You might need a lot at the beginning with so many nappy changes/poops! It regulated and becomes much less as they grow x

Some people are more wipe heavy than others. I am a wipe abuser. I like to make my own wipes. Its just alot safer that way. I use a tbs of castile soap I use to wash my baby and medline dry wipes and water with a little sunflower oil. Any oil will work. I put them in an old wipe dispenser. Here is a video I just found of someone doing a similar mix. I got the idea from instagram but cant remember whoes account. https://youtu.be/ti22tKDoTJY?si=wfx_k3JXn5pAMSDE

Avatar

I like the honest brand, they’re textured so that means I use less during the poop cleanups. They worked best for my sons skin as well

Avatar

I preferred cotton pads and water when at home.

Avatar

Thanks everyone for the input! I have to try them out and see what works for my LO.

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
