Applications will open in September and close in January.
You can pick I think it was 5-6 schools.
You can look at your local school websites and they will have information about admissions requirements and open days( days to visit the schools).
If you’re not sure about what schools you have in your local area you can also take a look on your council website.

no worries. You can apply after January which would be classed as an late application and isn’t ideal if your trying to get into a specific school.

I also recommend putting more than one school down as if you’re not chosen for your 1st choice they will place your child in a school that has space.

Applications for primary schools open in the November and. Close in January in my area. You can choose up to 3 schools by preference of first to last choice. You find out your allocation the April.

I would keep an eye out for open days of your local schools and take a look around for preferences and to see what you're looking for. Also if your little one goes to nurseries they usually have lots of information about open days and also can help with your application.

Also to add you can change your application up until the January cut off so if you decide to change your choices you can.

wouldn’t it be this November this year she would need to apply? I thought school starts the September after they turn 4 with the cut off being end August so this little one would start September 2026? I have a June 2021 baby he’s starting school this September…..honestly I do hate how confusing school placement is 😂
