All babies are different and learn at different paces. If you are concerned, reach out to your pediatrician.
How old is he? Most states have early intervention free of charge.
How old are they? Some babies can take up to a year or more to start crawling! Its hard not to feel concerned when we feel like our LO isnt "keeping up" with milestones. I was listening to this audio book discussing how in the 80s, parents began to focus on milestones to prepare their children for success to enter the growing upper middle ecpnomic class. This is part of the reason American parenting culture is so focused on milestones and achievements. Either way, stay curious, and ask a doctor if you are worried!!
Mine JUST started crawling forward. He isn’t standing either. I’m sure the kids are fine. Everyone does things at diff times. Def ask about it at 12 month apt if still not.
Hi! My baby was behind on all milestones and we went to physical therapy. They teach you very simple tricks that change everything! Couple things i learned: - Encourage him to play kneeling. They told me that my baby didn’t know he had knees. I bought an activity table he can reach on his knees. - Use a baby chair, bench or a box in front of an activity table. Place his two feet on the ground (put pressure if necessary). You’ll see him trying to pull up to stand if his feet are secure on the floor. You can also sit them on your leg and try it. - when he is getting more comfortable on his knees, place one foot on the ground while other knee is on the ground. I hope it helps!
