Hello mamas! So, I don’t have a lot of friends…. I’m wondering what I should do for my son’s 2nd birthday I don’t work, so no coworker “friends” to invite for his 2nd birthday party. I absolutely hate that I can’t give them the parties they want because I truly don’t have any people with kids to invite. What are some other things I can do instead of a party?

Learn more about our guidelines. My son LOVES jumping so we take him to a trampoline park during the week every other month because it isn’t as busy. You could go to the zoo or even a petting zoo…I was planning to do a petting zoo for my son’s 2nd bday party this year actually!
Hi Bree - A petting zoo would be a great idea or a day in play area
I don't really have friends either but I do birthday parties with family. They have a lot of cousins though but they dont always come to them. Doing something else is probably so much easier and less stressful though. A children's museum or an indoor playground are some ideas too.
I’m taking mine to a indoor play area since we don’t go to the park much
Have a small fun filled day with your boy. When they hit school age is when they know what they want for birthday parties and can invite friends from school. You will remember their birthdays but when they are so young they won’t remember them really.
Someone near me had a party at the local park and posted in a mom fb group for our area inviting anyone w toddlers! Just an idea if you still want a party
If not
I would go either to the science center/museum, zoo, aquarium, indoor play park and get their favorite meal
Last year we just did a family weekend. The aquarium, the zoo and a good dinner. We’ll probably do the same this birthday too
Thank y’all for all the advice!! It’s crazy I never thought about the zoo 😅 I’ve been so focused on a party that truly these ideas haven’t crossed my mind!
@Ciara that’s very smart! It’s times like this I wish I had a facebook lol but I would probably use my partner’s to post about it! Probably not for my son but for when my daughter turns 6. Thank you 😊
