Baby has been prescribed aptamil pepti 1 for suspected cmpa. Currently waiting on tests. He had a rash and had been really unsettled which is why the referral had been made. I’ve cut out dairy as I mainly breastfeed. He doesn’t really like a bottle. Symptoms have cleared up, however he is sick every time he has the formula. He’s never like this after breastfeeding. Has anyone had any experience of this?

@Hayley does it just continue to last however long they’re taking it or will it eventually stop? He’s been on it about 4 weeks now x
My son’s been on it about the same and he’s still sicky. Formula babies normally are more sicky due do the ingredients. It’s nothing to worry about unless he starts bringing up the equivalent of a whole bottle
We’ve just started on this formula, I wouldn’t say he is more sick but any spit up is more significant and widespread because it’s more watery! Only on day two so can’t comment on length yet 😬
@kristina how are you getting on with the Pepti now?
@Ashley he’s still bringing up watery spit up which is a bit of a pain! Our only symptom for cmpa was blood/mucus in poo, that seemed to clear up at first but seems to be returning and he has some discomfort when trying to poo too so we’re going back to the gp on Monday.
Is your baby on the same formula? How’s it going?
