Autism and language delay are separate issues. Many people think language delay always means autism but unless there are other issues as well, social issues, repetitive behaviors, sensory issues, etc..: then the two are not likely related I have two children with autism. One who did not have language delay, one who did until almost 3 and is a gestalt language professor and then my middle son who does not have autism but does have a significant language delay and is also a gestalt processor. My eldest son is actually hyperverbal and was speaking at 15 months. Definitely, definitely has autism… and adhd Anyway, neurodevelopment is complicated so I wouldn’t stress yourself out. Just keep up to date on your wellness visits and assessments
So my son was diagnosed with autism around 2 years old he mimics some words like he can say mama and dada and or nana but he can’t put sentences together after 24 months he wasn’t talking either
