Crawling!

Can someone give some guidance on how to get little one crawling? Our baby girl is 8.5 months and she just won't move! She's been sitting since around 5/6 months and she's pretty good at weight baring (obviously with support) on her feet. But she's always hated being on her belly (only decided by herself to start properly rolling on her choice at 7 months!) And I'm worried it's caused issues as she just won't move her legs or try! I really want to help her achieve this milestone, and i thought her going to nursery x3 a week would help her progress, but no joy! Any helpful suggestions? Thank you x

My lad has been going nursery since 6 months, he is now 9 months and hardly even rolls! He started to roll then stopped for weeks and after lots of encouraging and trying Timmy time again (only 15 mins-30 mins a day not all at once) he is rolling very selective again. I wonder how I will get him to roll or crawl etc. He isn't a fan of tummy time but is an amazing sitter. He sits and plays with his toys. I guess they get there when they do. I was told some skip rolling and crawling and go for walking

same! Mine will sit and play with his toys happily

I use to put her toys just out of reach so she had to lean forward and stretch out to get them. We had a long period of her being on all 4s and rocking before she she began crawling and now she is off everywhere and wants to stand up

My first baby would bum shuffle from about 10 months, didn't crawl until the week before she turned 1 and didn't walk until 18 months! She is absolutely fine developmentally now. My second baby is crawling now and honestly, it was much easier with my first! They all do it at their own pace and it's perfectly normal not to be crawling at this age x

how long was yours in the phase of all 4’s but not yet moving? Ours has been sitting really well since 5 months and sits happily to play with toys, but the past week or so she’s been leaning forward sometimes into crawling position and seems to get really frustrated that she can’t quite go yet

My girl is 9 months and still not crawling, my son crawled at 7 months before he could even sit up. It’ll happen xx

at least 3 weeks she was getting more and more frustrated each time with herself. One morning we were just relaxing in the front room and out the corner of my eye I just saw her move forwards a tiny bit by the end of that day she was following us around

8.5 months my little one was just sitting and and sort of rocking on his knees (I looked on Instagram for tips on how to help them crawl when they don't like tummy time) then literally one day just decided to be off he's 9 months 11 days now and doesn't stay bloody still and wants to be standing up all the time having said that I think thwy just do it when they are ready. It may be that crawling gets skipped. If try not to worry too much as once they start it's a battle 🤣🤣

My first started crawling properly around 10 months. She’ll get there, but encouraging plenty of floor time on her tummy will probably help. Don’t stress 😊

it is crazy how quickly after they can crawl that they want to stand up.

The remote/keys/phones just out of reach (anything she’s not allowed) got mine to move 🤣

Did you wait a certain amount of time or have it done immediately?

Can someone pls help i keep making this post and nobody is responding

My boyfriend booked a trip for us to go to mexico for a week as my push present. I have severe anxiety leaving my 7 month old with my mom. I know she will be in good hands but she’s exclusively breast fed for the most part but accepts bottles just fine. i have all my pumping parts packed and will pump when baby normally eats but i don’t want baby to forget me or have latch issues when i return!! any mommas ever experience this?

Postpartum

I’m only 3 days postpartum (FTM) and already have extremely bad anxiety. I’m crying every night, as I think of another night of no sleep. My baby will not settle in his cot, he cries every moment we put him down unless in his chair rocker. So me and my partner are having to alternate after 3/4 hours of being awake with him downstairs. I’m trying everything to get him to settle. It’s a load of overwhelming stress. I’m 23, I was desperate for a baby and now I have one and feel completely useless. I miss it just being me and my partner.

When does it get better?

I was crying on the phone with the perinatal mental health team today and the lovely lady, bless her, kept assuring me that it gets better. I kept telling her I hope so because people have been saying that since having my LO and it just feels like it keeps getting worse. She assured me it gets better....

Crawling

Did anyone’s little one start crawling yet? I feel like we are falling behind but really have no idea. I’m trying to introduce more floor time but it’s been rough because of having hardwood floors and our 80 lb oblivious to life dog. I got us a carpet for the living room and trying to put the dog out more when the weather allows. She sits like a pro and will roll to get the things she needs😅 but no real signs of crawling yet.

Silver cross pushchair

Has anybody had experience with the sliver cross cove or breeze? Me and my partner can’t make an agreement 😅 I like the cove but is it worth the extra money to the breeze?
