Baby hates car seat!

I’m just wondering if anyone else has this problem? My 12 week old hates being in the car seat, even for short periods! If she does eventually go to sleep you can almost set a timer for 30 minutes before she cries the rest of the journey. She can be quite content in it when removed from car but as soon as she’s put in the car itself she gets very upset. We’ve tried having people in the back with her/activity spiral for handle and still very unhappy. Makes driving a bit of an anxious time as most of my family live 40+ minutes away. Lots of people tell me that the car is one place guaranteed to soothe their baby so wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same as me?

Yes my 12 week old is exactly the same. It's really hard as our families also live far away. I'm hoping he grows out of it soon. At the moment I can't drive him anywhere alone as I find it too hard with the crying

Exactlyyyyyy the same. I hate leaving the house at the moment 😭

Yep! It’s so difficult when driving alone as I hate having him cry and not be able to do anything about it, it’s so stressful to need to go out. I’m praying he grows out of it but no signs yet 🥺

Hey all, my 1st and my lil one now are both the same. With my first I used white noise which helped. If I drove in the dark I got this colourful battery night light and that also helped. My 1st did grow out of it before 4 months and then loved the car seat lol. My son now is at the stage where it's the worst thing in the world. I know it's hard but I try to drive when he's due a nap and I can get a good hour of sleep out of him.

Do any of you think practicing in the car helps? I avoid driving full stop and my partner thinks I should do journeys so he has to get used to it but I just don’t think babies this young work that way?!

I'm not saying it does and should work but I think that's what happened with my little girl. I go out pretty much every day in the car as I block booked classes and I see my family lots. She would literally scream as soon as I put her in the seat, unfortunately I think one day she was just like well this is happening and nothing I can do about it 🥲 I did my best whilst she was upset singing, little sound machine hanging from the top, playing baby friendly songs etc...
She still gets a bit upset if it's a long journey after a while but majority she's ok now. I also make sure she's fully fed and nappy not too tight before going in

Thank you Maybe I just need to keep going! I did have one of those outer body experiences the other day whilst my son was screaming in the back and I was just desperately singing ‘say hello to the sun’ on repeat as if he would all of a sudden love the car 😂

Do men really enjoy fellatio?

Been together more than 10 years, but it's been a while since he even seemed remotely interested in me getting on my knees, or vice versa so to speak. I think it was once last year. Must be something I am doing wrong 🤔. Generally everything else in that department is great and we have two young kids with no extra support, so it's quite surprising we can't keep our hands off each other but may need to try new things. It's basically 2 positions each time with some foreplay.

Vanilla extract

Has anyone used alcohol free vanilla in their babies formal to help them drink?
I’m 100% sure my baby refuses her bottles as she doesn’t like the taste of it!

Just anxious to try it, don’t want her to get used to it and then refuse bottles again after two weeks of using (correct me if I’m wrong but I’ve read you use it for 2 weeks max)

TIA 🙂

Naps

How is everyone doing for naps?

Little one is 9 months old and will have 2 half hour naps and one solid 1 hour - 2 hour nap a day

Then settles for night around 9pm. Wakes for a feed around 3:30 then sleeps until 6-7

Sex post C section

Hi ladies I’m 4 weeks 5 days postpartum and I had a C section. I’m not bleeding properly anymore just some brownish discharge stuff that starts on and off. I’d like to do the deed with my partner; is it okay to do so or shall I wait the full 6 weeks. I feel up for it but also worried because the advice is 6-8 weeks.

Car seat crying

My 6 month old PANICS the second I put him in a car seat and screams, cries, chokes and recently even projectile vomited on a 14 minute drive. It’s gotten to the point I don’t even bring him out unless it’s to a doctors appointment. I’m a stay at home mom with no family in my state and it has been very isolating. We’ve tried 3 different car seats with no improvement. Has anyone had a baby who hated the car seat? Any advice? This started at 3 months. I will add it does seem worse when he’s tired. He does cry on every trip though. He only contact naps and co sleeps so he reaches for me and will not sleep in the car seat.
