Getting my 12 month old to drink water

Does anyone have any tips on getting a 12 month old to drink. She has been to the hospital for bloods for a different issue and they have said she’s dehydrated so trying to get her to drink but she won’t! I’ve tried all sorts of different bottles/cups even putting water in her mam bottle and she just keeps pushing it away!
Any hints or tips are greatly welcome!! Thank you 🩷🩷

Add a tiny amount of dilute orange juice or black currant

I put apple peel in my daughter’s water and she loves it now. We use a Nuby sippy cup and she drinks it herself. I peel and boil an apple as a snack for her and then put some peel in her cup for her to drink

You could add fruit to naturally flavour the water that’s what originally worked for my girl x

I’ve tried a small amount of squash and flavoured water but I just don’t know what else to try to get her to drink

Will she drink out of a glass or cup she sees you drinking from? It’s the only way my daughter would drink water initially

I assume you have tried a straw? Also I know it sounds mad but my girl once was pretty poorly and the only was I got her to drink was letting her have water / juice via a syringe (you know the ones that come with calpol bottles etc) a bit tiresome but if you are desperate.

I agree with the syringe! Had to do that with my 3 yr old after he had his tonsils out!
Maybe if she thinks something is yours? Mine loves drinking (or trying) out of our bottles or trying to get my cup of tea.

What about a water bottle with a straw and you get one too that way she’s drinking like you

Okay this sounds odd but hear me out, water play. My daughter first started ‘drinking’ water through water play (she was a lot younger though) so we’d mess around and she’d drinking the water from her hands and toys etc. We then moved on to some water in our bottles and this girl is all about joining in and would drink from our Stanley’s and then we got an array of bottles for her to try and we found the 360 bottles were her fav and now she has her own little Stanley dupe. We also give her some juice at times which she likes and flavoured water.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂
