Things to do in Somerset/Glastonbury

Hi everyone! We’re off on a little weekend camping trip with the kids (aged 2, 4 and 8) and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or recommendations of things to do in the Glastonbury area. I’m also heavily pregnant so can’t do too much walking but can give it a good go haha! Also any pubs/restaurants for lunch and dinner would be amazing. Thank you!!

Clarks village (castle play area for the kids, lots of great restaurants, and of course lots of shops) Glastonbury high street is always interesting with loads going on and Independant shops. You could see if you’re up to walking up to Glasto Tor (depending how heavily pregnant you are). I’ve done it throughout pregnancy but at 35 weeks now I think I’ll have to wait till baby is here. Wells cathedral & old town- for culture and history. Wookey Hole caves (tourist attraction but really popular and good) Cheddar, nice little pretty high street, gorge, caves, crazy golf etc. although you might not be walking up anywhere but if you’re up to it Jacobs Ladder Go out to the beaches at Brean or Burnham (very tacky but the kids always seem to love it, there’s Brean Leisure with rides and stuff for all ages and a good water park).

Highly recommend the Sheppey pub- quirky and Independant with incredible food (it’s in the sticks not near a town or anything)

@Camilla thank you so much for your replies!!! So so helpful xx
