Crawling

I’ve seen many posts on here about babies younger than my LB rocking on their hands and knees, however when my LB is on his tummy he literally just lays there and he does push up on his arms a lot and he’s got a very strong neck but absolutely no sign of getting up onto his knees.. i can’t understand how they even do that, is it an easy thing for them to pick up on? do i need to encourage him if so how do i encourage/help him to do it? i’m worried im not doing enough for him but im so stuck on how to encourage/help him to develop.. he still won’t roll, he’s rolled tummy to back a few times but not a lot since… i’ve tried everything and he’s just not interested no matter what i do.. i worry im not doing enough🥲 He can sit up unassisted though and i know all babies are different

My little boy the exact same, no signs of crawling at all! please do not worry!! All babies are different and go at their own pace! It sounds like you are doing more than enough to encourage him! Signs of crawling generally aren’t shown until around 8/9 months, he’ll do it when he’s ready just keep at it with the tummy time and he’ll get there! My little boy has shown zero signs of rolling not even on his side and then 2 days ago in his cot decided to start rolling from back to belly and hasn’t stopped since, things can literally change overnight! Cut yourself a bit of slack, motherhood is hard and you’re going great x

Honestly don't worry, they'll do it in their own time! As long as he's getting plenty of floor time it's okay! My first was advanced, he was sitting up at 4mo, nearly crawling at 5.5 months and walking at 10months and my second baby has only rolled maybe once or twice and that's it. Things can literally change overnight xx

Thanks guys🥰

I learnt from my friend to use my palms for them to push off from. So they’re on their front and legs I push up (like a frog) and then my LO just pushes off. And only now he’s started to try and use his knees. He’s 6 months 2 weeks
