How soon should you seek help PP?

I am only 10 days post partum, I ended up having an extremely traumatic C-Section. I have had no issues with bonding with my boy and getting into the swing of motherhood. I love it already. But I cannot talk or even think about the birth without feeling a sense of trauma and fear. I know my hormones are all over the place just now but i also know that I will still be traumatised about how the birth happened. But how soon should I seek professional help? I have been invited back to the hospital in 3 weeks to discuss the operation but I know I need some mental support too to deal with this moving forward. Just wondering if anyone else had a similar story and if now is too soon to speak to a mental professional?

I also had a traumatic emergency section and health visitor offered to refer me to counselling for my birth, you should be around your first meeting with the hv? I’d bring it up x

I had a traumatic birth and would advise you to seek help asap. Ideally not a physiatrist as they will likely give you pills. A physiologist who doesn't treat me with pills is what helped me
