Seen a lot of posts about a 2 year sleep regression and it started for us a few nights ago. My absolutely amazing sleeper who loved going to bed is now screaming the house down. It’s so horrible, and especially hard as I have a newborn who screams in the evenings too!
Just wondering if this happened to anyone else and is now back to normal? How long did it last and any tips to make it through?
Or if you’re going through it with your lo, how are you handling it? Letting them sleep with you or trying to keep them in their room?

We are going through the same thing she isn’t napping and refusing bedtime I’ve been reading a book before bed and just laying in there with her but taking an extra 40min to a hour currently laying in room now 😂x

My little boy was 2 in march and we have just come out of the end of this now, lasted for around a month for us

haha she was so tired today after refusing to nap that she fell asleep in the baby’s play mat on the floor - she slept for an hour and a half- I had to wake her up!!
Yes we stayed in her room singing/ reading for ages and it eventually calmed her down enough to go to sleep 🥲
It’s so hard now they can string a sentence together, i find it very difficult when she asks so nicely whilst also crying 😅😭 x

oh wow, was he upset every night? And did anything seem to help or do you think it’s just a matter of time?

Going through the same thing! Either up for 2/3 hours overnight or wants to start the day at 4 or 5am…been going on for about 2 weeks now. Hoping it ends soon x

@Georgia we literally tried everything but nothing helped or worked then 1 day it just went back to normal.
And yep and if he wasn't upset then he was just so naught/hyper and juat wouldn't settle, we ended up having to cuddle/rock him to sleep again downstairs then take him up.
Alot of time he would also wake in night screaming/crying and would not go back into his bed so ended up being in bed with us

ah it’s so hard isn’t it!
I’ve resorted to bribery at this point 🙃😅 x

aw bless, there’s obviously a lot going on for them developmentally isn’t there.
You just have to do what you can to get through, glad it seems to have gone back to normal for you!

It’s been 5 weeks for us so far…

oh gosh, it didn’t seem to last long for us but my lg hasn’t been well the last few days and sleep has gone rubbish again 🙃
