Mine are 26 months apart and it was hard at first (mainly mum guilt of toddler not having full attention) but now we are 5 weeks in getting a routine and my eldest has learnt that baby is staying and starting to acknowledge her it's getting easier. It's really heartwarming seeing them together especially now both are a bit more aware of eachother x
Two years is a great gap. You'll love it! I kept up with bf to try to have it be easier when my second came, but it didn't really help. I feel like the birth resets things anyway, so if you want to wean, go for it.
I wish I could have at 24 mo age gap. It would have been 18 mo age gap but we miscarried. I JUST found out not only endometriosis, but I am O- RH Protein which is why we would miscarry so often. My now new OB is so angry for us that my childhood doctor & OB never thought to check that. I have a newly 5 year old.. & due for c section September 3rd... the same week she starts kindergarten. I have to do diapers, everything all over again & I'm not spiteful lol I'll be very demure about it 🤣 but no. It's much worse when it's closer in age. My family that works in pediatric states away said 16-24 mo is the best time for 2nd child bc terrible twos believe it or not for whatever reason becomes magical for them to have a sibling lol
Congratulations on the news ☺️ We have 21 months apart, their bond is so beautiful. It is hard at times as you can't give your full self to them both but it will only be a short time like it.
When I say closer.. my nephews are 13 months apart. YUP. & That was so hard for my SIL. it was hard for anyone to like, take both of them at all, so I'd go babysit for 1 night every other week just so they could go relax lol
My two are 11 months apart - whilst I have my tough days, the bond they have with each other is amazing. I find I only really struggle, as I work from home (weds-fri) with both of them with me. They are both 2.5 and 1.5 years, I struggled at first not being able to give them both my full attention, but now they entertain each other and cause havoc 😂🤪 congratulations - you have got this x
@Lauren 🥺❤️🩹 im sorry to hear about your loss. My baby is a rainbow baby. I had 2 miscarriages before her. One happened months before and the first i lost years prior. Congrats on your new pregnancy and i wish you good health and that you have an easy birth. This girl is used to getting a lot of attention(she gets independent time too) from family. I just hope i will be able to give her enough attention when new sibling comes
Mine are 22 months apart and I am so happy! My oldest turned 2 in March and baby is almost 4 months old. They love each other so much already, and I love watching their bond ❤️ you got this!
