My baby girl is 4 days old today. First two days feeding well on breast and required amount of nappies. Past 24hrs it’s felt like hell. She’s not been feeding well, Constantly on and off breast and not having good enough wet nappies.

Hey. Has your milk come in yet? It is normal for them to cluster feed in the early days until your milk is in, that’s how they “order it”. If your milk isn’t in yet then the amount of fluid she is taking in is still small if it’s colostrum only, which is really full of goodness still. Try not to worry, see what the midwives say later but in the meantime if she wants boob let her on, have lots of cuddles and skin to skin which should settle her and speed up the process😊 message if you want to chat 😊

Not yet. Its not really showing any signs that it is but I hope it is soon. Her latch has gotten worse so it has got me anxious how much she is actually getting and I’m also sore now 😅. Thank you! Will try more skin to skin. This is all so hard ❤️.

Hey, I had my little boy on 5/5 and felt the same way! My memory of my little girl nursing was that she took to it immediately so I thought this time round my boy wasn't latching well/wasn't getting enough because he seemed to want to nurse constantly. Midwife reassured me and on the 4th day when milk came in it changed! Hopefully it'll be the same!

My boy is 6 days old .. he was originally a reluctant feeder then got the hang of it.. on day 3/4 he was cluster feeding so i was worried he wasn’t latching properly as he was either eating or inconsolable until he was eating .. i had the breastfeeding team out for reassurance..all was ok were just thinking its down to my milk changing and coming in. He also had the normal amount of nappies up until a couple of days ago, we’re having lots of wet nappies but not much other. Midwives were very good and advised to just keep an eye so i would definitely recommend speaking to them for some advice and reassurance.. xx

baby is feeding better but still not having the best wet nappies. I’m actually now in hospital with a womb infection so she has been checked out by paediatrics and they are happy with her currently. Thank you for checking in :)

oh gosh hope you feel better soon! But glad you got the reassurance for that side of things!
