Deep tissue massage
Hi mamas, do you know when you can have a relaxing / deep tissue massage after c section? I'm 5 months pp and all is healing very well, but I'm just anxious about being on my belly for the entire session of a massage taking into account any added pressure 🙃

I’ve had several deep tissue back massages before I was 5months pp. I had my first massage at 14weeks pp for 45minutes The girl was very cautious of me being on my front for the full 45minutes and gave extra support/protection in the way of towels so it wasn’t my stomach directly on the table. We stopped if I needed a quick 5 minutes
I got my first pp deep tissue massage at 12 weeks pp! I have had one weekly since then, now 6 months pp. My midwife said as long as I was comfortable laying on my stomach it was fine after I got cleared at my 6 week appointment but I waited until 12 weeks. 90 minute massages and I've had no discomfort!
