Over the past month of using huckleberry, I've deleted it.
All I wanted was to focus on better sleep hygiene for my baby. Sleep is my kryptonite as a mum. Nothing else phases me but sleep to me is so important.
I was hyperfixated on the sweet spots and the quantity of sleep my baby was getting. And completely off rail with cues.. theyre MY baby. Why the hell was I letting an app control my parenting?!
Baby was overtired more. I was frustrated.
Today we've had some really positive wake windows and really great naps.
Still tracking feeds, sleep and everything else on another app
I am not in anyway bashing anyone who uses it - it really felt positive at the start for us. But I've felt touched out and hyper fixated for weeks.
Anyone else?

We used it to track naps and sleep and Honeslty wouldn’t go back to doing that was so obsessed getting him to sleep when it said to and we’re in a better routine without it!
it's helpful until it isn't! It was really bogging me down!

I used it for a few days, I honestly feel like it takes away from being present and just enjoying baby. Everything works different for different people but for me I become fixated and found it detracted from actually paying attention to my baby x

Yeah I feel this!! I was obsessed with it for the first few months especially as my boy was premature and I was so worried about everything so logged literally everything to help me keep track and I found that I would reach for my phone constantly instead of paying as close attention to my boy I felt I should be! I also felt the wake windows for us were wrong. As he was only sleeping for 30 mins naps at a time it was a constant nap time and it was even telling me to give him his final nap of the day at like 8pm 😂 so I ditched it. However it did really help me in the early days. I felt so much better after though and more connected to my baby and reading his cues and what he needs x

I use it to put in feeds, nappies and naps as my husband has our LG when I'm at work so makes it easier for both of us to know if she's due a feed and also keep an eye on nappies as she does get constipated

That just reminded me I hadn't put his last nap in huckleberry yet 😂 I just put sleep in it now and follow the sweetspots but I think I'll stop soon when he's a little more reliable with the length of his naps.

Hate them tracking apps! I did it for feeds at the beginning bc of poor weight gain and wanted to track it and it stressed me out! Never again. Glad you deleted it, next step is to come off the rest if you can!

With my first baby I tracked everything (wet and dirty nappies, sleep, feeds, etc) for over a year. This time I haven’t tracked a single thing and I’m so much happier and more relaxed! Sometimes it helps and sometimes it’s so unhealthy to track everything! Just do what’s best for you and baby🥰

I use another app (nothing fancy, simple tracking), and it helped me see the patterns that LO decided by himself. I don't control the naps per se, but I look at how long he's been awake (or when he last ate) and I know that a nap is coming up. No way I would actually remember times, especially the first few weeks. Also useful if I have something planned, like I need to go out at 11, so by 8 he needs to be awake because he will want a nap around 10 and he can have a decent sleep. But again, he decided the routine, I didn't impose it based on an app.
