Drinking milk

Mine has started to be a bit fussy but will eventually drink, maybe have a chat with your health visitor (think there is a number you can just text on front of red book) to put your mind at ease maybe, I’ve done that a few times which helped x

Thank you, I have spoken to the infant feeding team but they haven’t been much help. I suspect he has silent reflux which is preventing him from drinking it.

My little boy was the exact same, he’s now on gaviscon and he’s getting much better!

that’s great that he’s feeding. I would speak with your paediatrician or GP though as I’m not sure in the long term it’s OK for baby to be asleep everytime. My toddler became extremely fussy around the same age a few years back - was fine with his dream feed but would fight the bottle when awake. He ended up having an aversion to bottles, took a little time to resolve but he eventually started feeding again awake.

My little one doesn’t do sick or spit up that often but shows other signs such as coughing, choking , frequent hiccups , arching back which I know can be signs too

I dont think its an aversion to bottles as he will take the bottle and drink sips or an ounce or two. I have been to the GP and they have referred him to peads.

do babies who suffer from silent reflux take their milk happily when sleeping,because would it not stop them from drinking no matter what?

I’m not sure - you suggested baby may have silent reflux which could be impacting feeding so I was just acknowledging that. The paediatrician will be able to get to the bottom of it. It may also be teething - my LO is fussy during the day but takes night feeds easily.
