It feels miserable alll the time , I remember it so well! Mine had CMPA but was being passed off as colic etc. It feels so awful! Is she maybe uncomfortable with anything? Or struggling with feeds? . My daughter would scream her lungs 247 when she was awake & would cry constantly . Got to the point I cried with her , hang in there mama! Make sure you look after yourself too in it! X

Remember if you need to, put the baby somewhere safe and step outside for a few moments to catch your breath. There is also nothing wrong with wearing some earphones to cut down on some of the noise and stimulation so it feels less pressing. Is there anyone who could come round and be with you, or even take you on a short walk with baby? Sending love x

Ah I am so sorry. This is so hard! These might be silly questions but some things that helped us. Do you think it might be tummy pain? Gripe water has been a blessing for us and it is allowed once they turn 4weeks. Tummy massages and exercises can help if she is bloated.
How long does she stay awake for? Probably sounds stupid but I thought the baby would just sleep when they are tired 💀 So we ended up with massive wake windows and inconsolable baby. I am paying much closer attention to how long the wake windows are now and that's made a massive difference. Overtiredness is really difficult to battle.

she can get uncomfortable and fuss before she poops but once she does shes fine. Shes farting (ha) and burping well too but I have noticed her belly can be quite distended sometimes ? But she was born with a big belly. She calms down instantly when put on my boob, but that would literally be ALL DAY lol

honestly, with my son i never really needed to take a break and I didnt even mind his crying, but im finding myself leaving my daughter for 30 seconds and breathing before I pick her up again. She can literally go purple :(

could be struggling with gas! Sometimes they need abit of extra help . Have you tried like cycle movements I think it’s called? They get trapped wind sometimes even when they’ve been giving some burping or farting ha x

see i dont really know. If i offer her the boob she calms instantly. If it was gas / pain she'd still be quite upset no? She burps well, there are times shes evidently uncomfortable just before she poops but then shes fine after it shoots out. Genuinely it might be overtiredness ? Shes been awake for over an hour sometimes, I have a toddler so its a bit hard tracking her wake windows. Shes been sleeping like 90% of today or what it feels like anyway, maybe I am overlooking how long shes awake

I try to cycle her legs but alot of the time it takes some convincing for her to let me 😅 sounds ridiculous but she can proper fight it and her legs go stiff haha. I'll keep with the belly massages and coax her into enjoying the leg cycling !

not ridiculous at all! Mine was fighting her nicu nurses over her feeding tube etc ha! They can be little fighters sometimes . I hope she gets some relief soon! X

@Nikki I had one day when my little one was getting inconsolable. He was fed, changed, rocked, bounced, everything! But he won't stop crying. I didn't think it was pain tbh but gave him the gripe water out of pure desperation and instantly he was asleep on my chest. I didn't recognise it was tummy pain at all. Maybe give it a try and if it is not helping, at least it is not doing any harm.
Keeping an eye on the wake windows has made a massive difference for us. Maybe she is just a sleepy gal and needs more of her beauty sleep :)

@Nikki @Chloe I've noticed my little one usually fights the bycicle legs when he is bloated and uncomfortable and needs them the most 😅

Do you have a carrier? At that age she’s going to sleep almost all day, but in between maybe a little skin to skin? My daughter is extremely touchy and she still cries most of the day if she’s not near me.

Sounds like colic, my first little girl was exactly the same. It lasted about 5 months but things that helped were colic drops, white noise, following wake windows! Also check for tongue tie, CMPA and any other allergies! Usually they're crying as they're in pain and uncomfortable. My LG struggled to pass wind and poo so gripe water and colic drips helped a lot!

I carry mine in different positions - Tiger in the tree stops him crying right away. Little Buddha after that, he often poops in this position. If he is drowsy but crying from pain in his tummy I walk up and down the stairs (bouncing on a fitball probably will be the same).

That sounds like the 4-6 week regression

Hang in there! Can you do baby wearing? That might help!

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Crying during feeding

Hey mams! My girl is 6 weeks on Monday and is having so much trouble with feeding. It doesn’t happen every feed but more often than not she will start a bottle and just start crying as if she’s in pain and she can’t take the milk. I think it’s trapped wind but I genuinely don’t know what to do it’s so pitiful to see her not be able to feed! She’s formula fed and on HiPP Organic.
Anyone else been in this position? I’m pretty sure it’s just a bit of trapped wind that she needs to fart out but can’t! If anyone has any advice I’d be very grateful as I think I may need to tape my eyelids open soon 😂
