Be kind to yourself! I know the feeling all too well. Hydrate hydrate hydrate, then build your pelvic floor and slowly incorporate training, don’t do too much as it’ll do you more harm than good xxx
6 weeks is so early. No exercise at this point can remove the overhang. I haven’t done any exercises apart from diaphragm breathing (light version of vacuum) and my overhang got so small (9.5 weeks pp). I feel it will go away by itself in couple of months with the way things are going. Just give yourself time, it will go away.
So I'm 10 months pp. I had a small and I mean SMALL belly before my bubba. It took me months for my uterus and belly to go down. I do still have an overhang, but it's nowhere near as bad & the more weight I lose, the more it's going.
In the saaaaaame boat! Starting scar tissue massage this week with a professional as heard it helps. 🙏🏼
You could try a belly wrap type waist trainer that is made for post c section. I had one, and they're great! Hydration and healthy eating really help. 6 weeks is so early to workout. Enjoy it! It housed your sweet baby 😊
Calorie deficit is the only way of losing it at least for me. Just know you created a baby from scratch and your body deserves love and respect. It will go away eventually but don’t let it run your life 💜 Shapewear suits also helped me alot
I follow a YouTube channel called nourish move love she creates awesome home workouts that you can follow through your pregnancy journey. A lot of great videos on strengthening core after birth
Just be careful about pushing yourself too early. Ease back in slowly. Your incision can look healed on the outside but there are many layers underneath that are healing and sensitive as well.
If you can, first before doing any exercices see a specialist physio : she will check you, your scar, diastisis recti and give you the exercices you can do and massages for your scar You need to go very slowly bc if you have diastisis (which you prob have at 6weeks only , very very commun) you can increase it instead of reduce it ! Be gentle with yourself, I felt the same and honestly body goes faster than I thought back to himself ! 6weeks is sooo early think that you had a growing belly for 9months ! Also body has memory, all the exczrcies you used to do before will still pay and your body willl be back in shape soon, just give him some time ! Also scar massages are really important bc deep inside if you have adhesions it can give a bad aspect to your belly like a pouch, and it’s not fat its just that it didn’t healed correctly
It takes time. I had a csection with my first and would say it takes a few months externally to change- It took about 3 months before I fit into my pre pregs clothes but by 9 months pp I was able to fit into most things - just used walking and good diet mainly and housework kept me surprisingly active 😂 . Body isn't quite like it was completely I do still have a bit of a mum tum and my boobs havnt gone back to the same size. Internally I found after 6 months I'd still get abdominal pain if I did too much so it really is important to give it time.
Me too, at 9 weeks pp, it's been the hardest part of the recovery. I started gentle exercises to re-engage core and pelvic floor, it's much better that even 4 wks ago but still can't fit my favourite jeans.
I’m the same hun. I’m trying to eat as healthy as possible and I’ve also downloaded the evolve you app to do their post pregnancy workout plan as it’s gentle enough to do at home. I’ve been walking for 40 mins everyday and also trying to massage around my scar to help with scar tissue build up xxx
Just healthy eating in general, and lots and lots of walking
