27+2 FTM, baby boy belly measuring 97th centile

His belly has measured big since my 20 week scan.
At the beginning he has raised NT level of 4.2, had blood tests at 16 weeks which confirmed as low risk. 20 week scan and this scan at 27+2 are measuring him 97th centile. I had an extra diabetic test which was all fine.

Has anyone else had this? Wondering if everything went okay? They have mentioned being induced at 37 weeks if its the same throughout the remainding growth scans. Whats everyones experiences with being induced?
Any advice is much appreciated💙

I had the same with regards to the abdomen measurement.
Had the 20 week glucose test, came back negative.
Grown scan at 34 weeks and she was still measuring in the 97th percentile for her abdomen and only 10th percentile for her head.
Redone the glucose test, still negative.
No further action required they said, they are not concerned anything wrong and she might just be on the chunky side 😂
I’m not going to be induced, but I am having an elective c section (nothing to do with this, just personal choice).

at the 34 week scan they estimated her current weight at 5lb 8 with still 5 weeks to go haha. God knows how big she is going to be, kind of glad I’ve picked the c section route.. I’m just about 5ft, she will prob come out half my size 😂

I had very similar measurements, no GD, no problems during pregnancy, etc. She was just a big baby!
They wanted to induce me too, not because of any concerns/high risk, just because of her size. I told them no (which you totally have the option to do, they can’t force you to induce)!
My LO was 8lbs, 15oz. I went into labor, got the epidural, and she was born 4 hours after that (at 40w + 1d)

Thank you :) that is so reassuring!
I also didnt realise you could say no to things like that, is there any benefits to having/not having it?
Ive heard alot of people saying they were also told they had a big baby but it wasnt, is so hard to know whats best🙈
Im so glad she was healthy and everything went okay!❤️

Happy to help! 🙂
It is absolutely your choice! I would look into inductions & talk to your doctor. I’ve heard good & bad things, but I haven’t personally experienced it. If they told me inducing was necessary for mine or baby’s health, then I absolutely would have done it. But, I had very laidback pregnancy & no complications, so I decided it wasn’t necessary for us.
My mindset was — My body is made to handle this, baby will come when baby is ready.
and Thank you! 🫶🏼 She’s still a big baby, even at 11 months, haha. Sometimes it’s just genetics. My husband is 6’3” & I was 9lbs when I was born, so I kind of assumed she’d be a chunker!

I have a feeling like I might get attacked from this but I’m going to say it anyways. incognito 🥸 GLP1s being mainstream for regular people who are NOT diabetic or morbidly obese is bad for so many reasons 💉💉💉

Side affects, long term dependency, supply shortages and costs, regaining the weight back as soon as you get off them.. all that ASIDE how do people not see just from a zoomed out perspective how crazy it is. I can’t imagine being someone facing food insecurity in an underdeveloped country and watching westerners give themselves daily jabs so they can lose weight while still eating a calorie surplus/ crappy foods. It’s giving hunger games when district 12 Katniss finds out at the party at the capital that people eat and then take a pill to make themselves sick so they can 🤮 and eat some more. These ads running ozempic everywhere are disgusting, and then getting amazing athletes like Serena Williams to push them talking bout “i’ve never been healthier” girl you were an OLYMPIC athlete wym??

Emergency scan

Hi! I went to triage on Saturday night for reduced movement as I hadn’t felt baby all day. I was checked over with Doppler etc and sent on my way - midwife said everything was great.

I’ve just been called by the hospital that I’m booked in for an emergency scan and it’s just taken me by surprise. Has anyone else experienced this?

Baby is nearly here and still haven’t decided on a name…
Please help!

Here are our options

Evelyn
Summer - baby will not be born in this season ( does it matter though? It’s a name not a time stamp)
Halle
Clodagh ( Irish Cloda)

Would love to hear what your favourite name is out of those

Overstimulated

Does anyone else say the most outrageous stuff when overstimulated, I feel bad cause somethings I imagine can be a little weird/scary, but the other night I told my daughter (almost 3) "I understand that your aunt painted your nails but if you don't lay down and go to sleep then you're nails aren't gonna be there in the morning" 😭😭😭it was 3am and she hadn't had a nap and kept finding excuses to stay up
