Forward facing

Wait as long as you can!!!! Much safer having them rear face

My car seats are convertible and say they can accommodate rear facing to up to 40. I know there has been studies that rear facing as long as possible is safest no matter the height because it’s more about their bones at their age. And where I live they actually changed the law to rear facing until 2. My MIL works for a fire department and does car seat installations and teaches safety classes. She said the studies say it’s best until 3. It’s about the way the crash force is delivered and the risk of internal decapitation

me and my husband decided since she’s so tall and her legs bend touches the seat in front of her and she weights 40 lbs (she’s a big tall girl) we have forward faced her :)

In California it’s the law to have them rear facing till they are two years old

yes but it also says unless they are 40 lbs or 40 inches long

I think each car seat has their own recommendations to when the baby should be foward facing.
