Caffeine

To the mums that don’t drink coffee/energy drinks, how are you guys keeping yourself awake?

I don’t drink any caffeine apart from tea and I’m so sleepy throughout the day so need some ideas to help me!

Thank you

Chocolate and some fizzy drinks (coca cola or pepsi max etc have caffeine in too

I honestly have no idea. I wake up so tired some days, and my body hardly ever lets me nap 🥴

A good healthy lunch to feed my body normally helps me with the slump

have you had your iron levels checked? getting on iron tablets and daily vitamins has helped me massively! took a few months for me to feel the difference though!

Having a proper diet will help more than caffeine and sugar. Having regular snacks like berries and nuts will give you an energy boost when you need it. Sugar and caffeine just gives you a quick high and then a crash

B12 mints by Mentos & or B12 tablets

oh I’ve never heard of that!

same with me, I can’t take naps anymore as I’ve been working 😭

Avatar

that makes sense, I’m horrible at managing to get meals in so it’s something I need to work on

Avatar

no, but that’s a good idea thank you! I had low iron before but it was never an issue and I didn’t even think about that. I’ll get it checked out, thank you!

Avatar

I can imagine haha! Thank you so much for the advice x

thank you!! Yeah that does happen to me so I didn’t want to start drinking coffee etc

Scan needed at 33 weeks

Hi ladies! I just had a midwife appointment (I am 33+5)..the midwife was different to my usual midwife. She's requested I have a scan within 72 hours as she said baby is measuring a little small, however, she did say that it's likely nothing to worry about and it's probably just her measuring me a bit different to my usual midwife. Has anyone else had this? Am a bit worried although babys heartbeat and movements are completely fine.

Finding out gender

Has anyone found out the gender at a private scan at 14 weeks? And has this been accurate?

I found out at 17 with my first but I know a scan place that offers from 14/15 weeks and I’m impatient 😂🥲

Rolling milestone at 5 months - What’s typical ?

Good morning ladies,

My daughter will be 5 months old tomorrow, but there’s still no sign of her rolling. She does tummy time and loves lying on her mat, playing with hanging toys above her and to the sides, but she only lifts her legs and doesn’t seem interested in rolling or moving sideways yet.

Anyone else the same or have your babies already learnt how to roll yet ?

Thank you
