I do understand what you mean in that yes they did catch it there, and appreciate you paying for him not going isnt nice, but as they have said it’s essential to prevent the spread with anything illness wise.

What the nhs say is generally aimed at keeping them in school and not taking into account children in early years settings often touch each other/put things in their mouth etc.

If the staff catch it they could have to close or a little one that has a compromised immune system in rare cases can cause permanent vision issues.
It’s also not very nice for poorly/irritated little ones to have to spend all day in a childcare when they probably just want home and their mum.

They should refund you, as they caught it there. Awful. They want all your money for nothing.

Staff have to get paid, bills have to get paid, whether your child is off or not. So if everyone got money back when their child was ill, all nurseries would close down as they wouldn't be able to afford to stay open.
