Stool withholding

Has anyone got experience with their toddlers/children of withholding going for a poop? My 20 month old, since passing a very painful constipated poop has since become frightened of going and will try anything possible to not go…. She is on laxatives to help her go and become used to it not hurting but is doesn’t seem to be helping. She can go up to 4/5 days without going but during that time clearly wants to go.

Any advice please?? 😢

We are potty training my 3 year old & although he has done a poo on the toilet twice since we started 2 weeks ago, most of the time, he won't do a poo unless we put a nappy on him. It's not the same thing I know, but I don't know what to suggest & just thought I'd let you know that I'm going through something similar x

My two year old was withholding poop as well after a hard pass.
He would go only once a week.
I tried child friendly laxatives and nothing worked. Doctor told me to give him Restoralax twice a day for three days then once a day for a month. He is now pooping everyday sometimes twice a day.
I was told to adjust the dose according to the type of poop until he poops normally on his own.

is restoralax something the dr prescribed or can you buy it over the counter? The laxatives work in that her poop is no longer hard , soft , but she still tries not to go to the point when she does it it is very much a “ok I’ve got no control over it now” kinda poop and put it comes lol x

My 2 year old is going through the same thing. she's been on lactulose (stool softener) and senna (laxative) for several months and even with those, she still withholds until her body forces it out of her.
She's gotten better, pooping every couple of days (vs once a week) in the toilet since we've been potty training her!
We can see when she has a poop coming because she whines and rocks back and forth to try to hold it in, so we go ahead and put her on the toilet. Even though she cries really hard and tries to get off, we hold her hands and stay as calm as possible and eventually since she's in the position on the toilet, it'll just come on out.
Before that, we found that sometimes when we put her in the bath, it'll make her have to poop and it comes out easier because of the warm water.

Hang in there! I've always been told they grow out of it. 💗

We also used Pedialax a few times and while that worked, it caused trauma for her. She wouldn't let us wipe her for like a month after that so we had to be quick with it and it was a whole thing.
If someone recommends it, try to save that as a last resort. Like when she hasn't pooped in over a week.

Help! First time mum -

I have a 4 month old and now all of a sudden when he’s been asleep for 1hr30/2hrs he will wake up screaming (high pitched) I’ve tried winding him sometimes that helps, I’ve tried bicycle legs & bringing his knees up but that doesn’t seem to help but he brings his knees up himself sometimes but nothing happens. I’ve noticed since the 4 month mark he has started to struggle passing wind downwards! Any tips?

Breastfeeding

Does it ever feel better? The actual feeding part of it is going really well and baby boy is growing so well. I’m struggling with how my boobs feel day to day - it’s really getting me down most days. The let downs make me feel awful and sounds silly but, I am also really missing not wearing a bra! 9 weeks postpartum and still getting fairly engorged, even with comfort pumping.

Any advice or just shared stories would help. I’m so torn between carrying on because I enjoy the feeding side of it or switching to formula.

Bath Time

Help! My baby is 3 and a half weeks old. Every bath she goes in quite happy but will only stay like this for a very few mins, if I try to clean her or move her we have tears and after a few mins the same. It's like she is scared. Our current baby bath is quite big should I try a different one? Looking for any suggestions as want her to enjoy bath time not be upset and I'm scared I'm going to make her hate it😢💗

Big nursing bras!

I’m looking for recommendations for good nursing bras for bigger breasted ladies!

I’m currently in a 38H which seems to be the biggest size done at M&S (UK based mama here) and it’s snug and not as supportive as I’d like. When I look online, they mainly seem to be sized S, M, L, XL etc rather than bra sizes.

Any recommendations please?

Strange question

Hello. I would identify myself as asexual but yes i am married and i have a child. But now that ive had my baby. I think its solidified that im done having sex. I feel bad as my partner keeps asking me but i just dont want to. Any advice on what i can do? Any other asexual moms out there? I guess this could be confusing but im not huge on being bound by a label. I have just always felt it represented me best since highschool.
