Working out due dates

Do you use your 'period' from a miscarriage as the start of your last period? Even though its not classed as a period itself?

This is one of the reasons why they tell you to wait a cycle before trying again because dating can become tricky. You will have to just guess for now and wait until you have a scan.

@Laura it wasn't planned this one but from what i had a quick search. It said to use it as a period to work out an estimated date. This one was a complete shock as I wasn't expecting anything to happen, as we have always had issues conceiving. So it was a nice surprise. I do know that any unprotected sex there is always a chance, im not that nieve but just with my past of trying for a baby it's not been the best

Yes you take it from the first day you started bleeding. It will likely be a little innacurate though but they’ll be able to tell at your 12 week scan xx

Hospital bag (UK)

What did everyone pack for their section? I'm staying in for 3 days due to mental health, not really sure what I'll need to bring, feeling very nervous. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Pregnancy after c section

What time scale did everyone get pregnant again after a c section?
I know the doc said they recommend eating at least a year to 18 months but it took 4 years to get pregnant the first time after being told we could not conceive naturally so not wanting to stop it happening knowing it could take a very long time again but also worried.

Labour

Think im a bit confused really, i went into traige as was having contractions eveey 3-5mins. Since being here im now having them every 2-3mins which was confirmed with the machine and i think the toco was 90-100 and they feel painful and my lower back is in loads of pain but apparently im only just over 2cm dilated maybe, she has said i can stay here for a bit longer to see if things progress as had a previous quick birth as well but i dont understand why the pains are coming this quick if im only 2cm dilated and feel a bit deflated from it also.

I had a sweep this morning also.

C section trauma ?

Is it a thing to be traumatised by a c section delivery? I’m 4 weeks pp after having an emergency c section. I won’t go into the ins and outs to what got me there 😂
Nothing went wrong in the surgery at all, it was just incredibly intense, overwhelming and scary, but luckily my baby was delivered safe!
However I’m finding my birth experience quite difficult to even think about and when I do, I feel a horrid gut wrenching feeling, my heart aches and I just uncontrollably cry! My body feels really alien to me, like it’s not my own and I just feel really let down.
