Currently 29w. Posted a few days ago about my waters potentially breaking as I was leaking clear fluid all day that had no distinct smell and was quite worried. Been trying to get through to my local triage past few days to which I’ve called over 30 times a day and had no one pick up.
I finally got through to them today to which they said they couldn’t see me due to my gestation (I would have to be 30 weeks) and I need to go to a hospital that is over 50 minutes away and treated me disgracefully when I went there two weeks ago as they left me in a room by myself for 15 minutes as I was waiting to have a speculum and didn’t communicate anything with me about doing so.
Does anyone have any advice about what I could do? I’ve rung other hospitals which are closer and have a higher neonatal unit but they won’t see me without a referral from the hospital I’m under. I asked my hospital if I could have a referral and they said no, I had to go to the hospital they said, to which I explained how far it is and the awful experience I had there last time.
Just feel so neglected if I’m honest as I just want to be checked over and told I’m not going into early labour. I had a previous miscarriage last year so my pregnancy anxiety is just through the roof. I understand I may have to just go to this hospital that treated me awfully last time, but it’s just giving me so much anxiety. My hospital I’m under have just been no help to be honest, they’ve been very rude and cold over the phone.
Any advice would be appreciated or anyone who has been through anything similar with their hospital being a bit difficult with them 🫶🏻

Learn more about our guidelines.Your hospital should see you regardless whether you're not 30 weeks yet or not. I would put a complaint in. Are you still leaking? If u are then just to be safe u will have to go to that horrible hospital unfortunately.
If the mid-wife triage isn’t picking up call 111 and get a referral from them.
So sorry, that sounds so stressful. I don't know if this is helpful but I'm almost 29 weeks and looking at moving hospital, I just phoned the booking line for the new hospital like at the start of my pregnancy and they have booked me in for a midwife booking appointment to move me, I didn't need a referral to do that.
@jessica no luckily I’m not leaking anymore but I’m still quite worried 😖x
