Hi, if anyone has had a silent miscarge can they please share with me? I went for my reasurance scan thinking I would be about 7+weeks, but they only saw a sac about 6 weeks. I am unsure about my dates so could be early or I could have had a missed miscarage. I have another scan tomorrow and I am so worried. The fact that I could have a missed miscarage but exhibiting strong pregnancy symptoms is messing with my mind. I have had no bleeding whatsover. I have managed to remain calm but now that the scan is tomorrow, my anxiety is through the roof

Hey lovely- I had a missed miscarriage in December last year with my first ever pregnancy.
Went for a private early scan and they only saw a sac about 5 weeks... told us to wait two weeks and repeat the scan but in my naivety I didn't want to spend money on another private scan and convinced myself just to wait until my 12 weeks NHS dating scan.
I genuinely didn't know that silent/ missed miscarriages were a thing!!!
Unfortunately 12 week scan showed nothing had progressed past the 5 weeks.
Opted for the medical miscarriage (again in my naivety) thinking it would be less fuss and I could just deal with it quietly at home but unfortunately it didn't go well for me and I had a month of complications- ended up having surgery to complete it and wish I'd had the surgery in the first place. pregnant for the second time and we're at 8weeks. Had quite a lot of spotting early on and EPU brought us in for a scan- fingers crossed this time is okay but just holding my breath until 12weeks
Hi Melanie,
Did you still have all you pregnancy symptoms? Wishing u all the best in this pregnancy

Hi, I had a silent miscarriage. I got to 12 weeks. I've had two and both were my strongest pregnancy symptoms.
With my live birth and current I have minimal symptoms. Symptoms of pregnancy are not an indication of a healthy pregnancy and no symptoms are not a sign of a bad pregnancy either.
Unfortunately it happens and there is nothing you can do to change it or there is nothing you did too. Hope they see something on your next scan. Nhs recommend waiting two weeks between these scans for development to occur. However a day can make the difference too.

I had a missed miscarriage in my first pregnancy diagnosed on 11 week scan and went through for dnc directly .

Did you have a round ligaments pain as it usually feel in Seco trimester but some also feel in first trimester
Hi, yes I had round ligaments pain. The scan is not on the next day is 5days later. At this point, I just want to know. The waiting is the worst for me. I want to know deal with it and move pass it.

In my first scan of previous missed miscarriage was on 8 week but I was 7 week pregnant i asked doctoer why this happened he replied may be ovulation occur later .so may be you ovulate later.

Although it’s called “silent” I’ve read many women have had brown spotting or disappearance of symptoms. Your dates aren’t that off, I have everything crossed for you on your scan tomorrow and hope you see a healthy little bean.

I was pregnant in January and went for a scan exactly 7 weeks I was only showing as 5w3d and the baby had stopped growing at that point. I started miscarrying the following day. I had all pregnancy symptoms and still after the miscarriage had happened. I didn’t get a negative test until nearly 3 weeks after as the hcg levels take a while to drop. I was still stuffing my face so so hungry like I was pregnant and still had sore boobs etc during that time and the miscarriage had actually happened. It’s a very confusing time.

I had a missed miscarriage but I did notice my symptoms decrease. It was an IVF pregnancy and I was measuring 11 days behind at 5 weeks +2 instead of 6 weeks and 6, they saw a faint heartbeat but I went for a scan a week later and the heart beat had gone. I waited 2 weeks and nothing happened and then I went back and had medical management with the tablets. I hope you’re okay & hopefully your just a little behind where you should be xx

Mine was a complete miscarriage with no symptoms at all. I just had a gut feeling because previously I had sore breasts and nausea but suddenly all of that stopped. I had to go back to the EPAU every two days for HCG and progesterone checks but my levels were not doubling as they should. Eventually I miscarried naturally.

I’ve had 2 missed/silent miscarriages. Both were IVF pregnancy so I knew the dates, but if it’s natural then it could still be early. You never know and I really hope it’s just early!
I had no MC symptoms at all and felt pregnant but that’s also because the IVF meds hold back the bleed.
The first time I had to wait over Christmas and new year for a second scan to confirm which was just awful. Had medication and, like it didn’t work fully so then had surgical removal. Second time was later the same year and medication did the job eventually. I don’t recall now why I didn’t opt straight for surgery as it’s far easier and less traumatic! Probably just didn’t want to wait.
I know waiting to find out is awful but the more time that passes the more certain they can be. Be thinking of you and really hope it works out xx
Hi Ladies, thank you all for sharing. Just an update. Yolk sac was seen so been asked to wait 10days for another scan. I think its progress as there was no yolk sac on the first scan
