Don’t hold him to walk, he will rely on you to do it. Encourage to walk independently

Mine is walking, but my friend's started walking when she was 16 months old.
Now she is nearly 4 years, no issues at all.
In regards to drooling, mine is occasionally as well

Mines been walking since 10 months but still won’t crawl 🤣 Only just learnt to pull himself up from a sit.

without the holding he only crawls but he stands on his own and when he holds himself on the wall and on the doors he moves. I’ve been told that every kid is different and they have their own timeline and that until 18 months I should not be worried.

Yeah there isn’t anything to worry about. Its great that he can stand without support and he is doing well with cruising as well. Just saying if you want him to walk, just let him do it. He will walk when he feels comfidence to do it x

Avatar

Don’t set you and your baby expectations, it’s still very early to be walking. They will learn in their own time and it’s great your encouraging but nothing wrong with just standing and cruising at this point x

Developmentally the usual age for walking is between 12-18 months so he’s fine. My first walked just before he turned 18 months and was also a late sitter and crawler but was always miles ahead communication wise. My now 13 month old has done everything motor skills wise long before his brother did but is a lot less developed communication wise than his brother was at this age. Different babies progress at different rates and it’s best to go by the average time scales and if they go further than the top end with no signs they’re close then I’d get a second opinion. My mother was practically mute until around 5 years old and just pointed at everything to communicate, everyone thought there was something wrong with her but she just started talking one day out of nowhere and turns out she just didn’t want to talk but she was perfectly capable of doing it 😅

no I don’t is it worth buying?

My 13MO isn’t even standing on her own yet. She can physically, but throws herself as soon as I let go. She’s taken a tiny few steps but has no confidence letting go of things.

She is a bum shuffler so HV warned me she’d be delayed in walking but if she’s not walking by 18 months that’s when you worry about it/ contact HV or GP.

I wouldn’t worry about it as long as he’s trying and progressing each day

My boys 13.5 months and still not walking.
My friends babies walked and 14 months and 17 months so don't worry about it X

My daughter is 13 months and she is not walking at all, doesn’t even show any signs of walking.
My oldest was walking by this age, my sister started to walk when she was 14 months , i asked my health visitor the other day and she said shouldn’t be worried till 1.6 year old anything after needs to get checked xx

Come on mama! Your boy is fine… do not worry at all. My baby girl is 13 months and doing the same, I have a friend and her 13 months old walks. It doesn’t worry me at all cause I know my baby will walk when she’s ready no need to rush things cause we feel like by 1 they have to walk.

Mine exactly the same, drooling too😂

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

How many words

Just a quick gauge of how many words your little ones are saying at this age. I heard by 15 months it should be 5 words, are most around this mark ?
