So, my little girl is 9 months old and I have breast milk in the freezer from over 6 months ago - I read online that breast milk only keeps in the freezer for 6 months and then it shouldn’t be given, however it seems like a waste to just throw it away? I’m also not sure whether to give it to my little girl as she has a CMPA however it only developed when she stopped having my breast milk and went onto formula. My concern is that the milk she is currently on isn’t as sweet as normal formula or breast milk so I’m worried that if I give her my breast milk that’s frozen that she’ll then refuse her formula when the frozen breast milk runs out?? But again, seems like a waste to just throw away 😞 if anyone has any advice or guidance I’d really appreciate it ☺️

6months is max for feeding but can use it in the bath for when they have chicken pox or dry skin etc so definitely keep it! X

You could use it for baths, making soap, or buying yourself some breastmilk jewellery.

12 month in a deep freezer. 6 months in a fridge freezer.
It doesn't expire though, those times are for optimal nutrition. It just starts to slowly degrade and lose some nutrients.
