Dating simulation games: are they "allowed" in your relationship?

like you said depends. My bf snd i play stardew valley and marry other people. I play the sims and i make characters of myself and marry other characters. I think if its all fun and games it doesnt really matter.

it does become very routine, but I have gotten to year 4 twice now! First time, I had two kids & second time I finally got pregnant with baby #1 lol. Haven’t played in a few months, but I love the game & highly recommend it! The mining, farming, crafting, selling, fishing, etc.

I love Minecraft as well! And Stardew has its share of enemies as well, like the jellies in the mines lol. Once you get a sword, they’re easier to tackle.

I haven't played the Sims yet either but told my husband I'd absolutely be doing that in the game 🤣

My husband and I both play video games. We both used to play Sim long ago . My husband does play different variety of games such as Hogwarts Legacy, God of War, Rust, ect,. Even GTA, Minecraft. I play more of shooting games and the game CRASH that I loved playing growing up. My Little Big Planet is the first game my husband and I played together.

OMG a lot of y’all are probably too young to know this game back on Xbox 1 but if you Google it it’s raunchy and funny AF, called Leisure Suit Larry, he’s a boy at college that goes around seducing and bringing college girls back to his dorm lol it was the funniest but coolest game I played in on my early 20’s which was a long time ago! Yeah but I guess it's just weird to me personally. I always did them as a kid because I wanted to feel like I was in a relationship, sexual stuff, etc... now that I really have that connection, it feels weird to me personally to try and seek that anywhere else. Cos yeah, I guess for me, I did it to fulfill an empty space I had. Now that I have the space filled, I don't need to do that.

I have never thought about it 😂!!! I think if the thing he is dating is an NPC and its for the storyline, then whatever. I play World of Warcraft, so there's real people behind the screens and if I found out my husband was dating a person on WoW, I'd be pissed.

Personally I think it would be a little weird, the only exception I think is if it's like one those scary ones or like you said for the story/laughs. I played one called doki doki, it starts as a typical dating simulator but then gets really dark and creepy lol

Not quite the same, but I’m into role play gaming with a group of online people (some of whom I’ve now met in real life and would consider to be friends) and we will RP romantic relationships. My husband finds it funny and geeky, he would never consider that cheating and I’d have serious issues if he ever brought it up as a problem.
