Can anybody share how NHS Scotland dealt with their low lying placenta? And what region you were in.
I’m anterior and low lying, from ultrasound at 30 weeks looks not to have moved since 20 weeks but getting an internal scan at 32 weeks to specifically determine.
Have found NHS papers online which suggest birth approach decisions are made at 32 weeks but also seen research that high percentages can move between 32 and 36 week and even up to 38.
For several reasons I really don’t want a section but obviously will if baby ends up at risk. But want to make sure decisions aren’t made earlier than need to be.

Hi, I have low lying placenta and based in Glasgow. My last 32 weeks internal scan showed that my placenta didn’t move. I met consultant and they said we will check again on 36 weeks scan (next week), they said they only need placenta to move 0.5cm. And if by 36w scan still not moving they will do c-section on 37w to avoid vaginal birth (in case heavy bleeding). I told them i prefer elective c-section because i don’t want to worry and end up with emergency c section so even the placenta moved i still want my elective c section which they said only can be done by 39w. Signed some papers too last time, agreement for c section just no date yet
