My levels have shot up so they’re now saying I need to deliver her by next Thursday before hitting 39 weeks.
They’re talking about sweeps and being induced. I’m scared at the thought of being induced due to so many negative stories I’ve heard. Anyone had a positive experience and what form of induction you had? I’ve seen there’s two types pessary and balloon? (First born was 3 days early, spontaneous and quick. Didn’t have IPC for that pregnancy)

I was induced for my first boy. Ot was long but it went well, had a normal birth and a healthy baby. They started with a pessary. It took 52h between when the induction started and when he was born.

I had the pessary last time. Contractions started right away for me. Started mild and got stronger over 24 hours, mainly just walked and walked around the ward and hospital grounds with my husband. Got me to 5cm, went up to the labour ward and carried on as normal. X

I was induced with my first they went straight in with pitocin because I wasn’t dilated at all. It’s definitely a long process mine was only 13 hours from IV to delivery and they said it was pretty short considering where I started from 😂 it was definitely more intense than my unmedicated birth but I was still able to go without pain relief which was a big goal
