Labor and delivery cost

I know this might be a bit of a controversial question, but I’m curious to hear different perspectives: In a relationship where everything is split 50/50, who do you think should cover the hospital bill for childbirth? Should it still be split equally, or should the father take on more since the mother is the one physically going through the experience?

Being someone who does things 50/50 as well. We are splitting the cost. Did not consider the physical part to be honest. It’s more how our finances work and for us to both not be in debt

Our finances are so intertwined that we’ve never once actually talked about who’s paying for it. Generally speaking we contribute a pretty even amount to everything so it’s not a conversation we’ve ever really needed to have.

We have really good insurance so we’re hoping it’s mostly covered but if we do have to pay he’ll probably start paying it and I’ll give him money to go towards it. Both of our money goes to the home/ family one way or another anyway so we don’t think about it.

Bleeding while you pregnant…

I'm six weeks pregnant with my second child. At the beginning of the pregnancy, I had some light spotting. At five weeks, I had an ultrasound and a blood test for hCG levels. The ultrasound showed a bleeding wound, but it doesn't affect pregnancy. My hCG increased by 169% in two days. After all these tests, I no longer saw blood on the toilet paper after going to the bathroom. Then yesterday, I had a little difficulty going to the bathroom, and after that, I saw a small amount of blood on the toilet paper again. Nothing today. I'm going for an ultrasound on Friday, but I'm still uneasy. Has anyone else had this?

Growth scan at 34 weeks

Hi, I went to the midwife yesterday and have been referred for an urgent growth scan as baby has dropped from the 90th to 40th percentile over the last three measurements. Has anyone experienced this? So stressful 😔

Julia Donaldson Party

Hi all, I’m throwing a Julia Donaldson party for my soon to be one year old but finding it hard to find decorations etc!

I have a sign, banner, zog and Gruffalo cupcakes and of course a cake! Also going to bring some books and toys to display.

Just wondered if anyone has done anything similar and could share any ideas?

I know he won’t remember but I want to make it amazing. We aren’t renting a soft play we’re just buying a slide set and a ball pit etc so my son can use them at home! So I just to make sure the theme pops so I can take lots of pictures and show him when he’s older!

Completely exhausted 5 months postpartum

My baby boy is 5 months old and even though he sleeps 10-12 hours a night and I usually get around 6-7 hours, I am still so exhausted and I have no idea why. Maybe the mental and physical toll of being a mum? Or vitamin deficiency? I have no clue, just tired of being exhausted
