Anyone not given their baby a dummy/pacifier. How are you dealing with the meltdowns? My baby cries alot but ive not given them a dummy. My family friends keep making me feel guilty that im making my child and myself suffer. Hes almost 6months now and we havent used a dummy. Should I still start?

My baby doesn't have a dummy, I never felt the need to give him one (both my partner and I never had a dummy). He uses his hands of a muslin cloth to self soothe

My LO only has a dummy in the car if there is nobody in the back to help as he hates the car, it requires a LOT of distraction with toys or picking up wherever we go. If it suits you then you could try but fair warning that your baby may reject it at this point

No dummy here and we have a crier!! đ©We rock, rock, offer the breast, rock, rock... đ€·đ»ââïž

My baby has a dummy and heâs so used to having it that when he doesnât have it as he doesnât need it he cries and takes it but he only really has it to fall asleep to or a bit of comfort for him

Mine sucks her thumb to self soothe when trying to fall asleep or when she's in the arms of a visitor she doesn't know! I've tried a dummy but she won't take it

My daughter has a dummy, she will only take it if sheâs tired or if sheâs sad/in the car! She doesnât want it otherwise in the day x

I wish mine took a dummy!! đ . Neither of my boys have took to one and I really tried.. but Iâd say if you have got this far I wouldnât introduce one now personally x
